The Ministry of Education's (MOE) Taiwan Scholarship Programme encourages international students to pursue academic degrees in Taiwan. The program seeks to foster communication, understanding, and friendship between Taiwan and the international community.

A Taiwan Scholarship can be held for four years for undergraduate programs, two years for master's degrees, and four years for doctoral programs. Scholarship applications must be submitted to a Republic of China (ROC) overseas mission, and applicants must apply for admission to a Taiwanese university or college separately.
