Universitas Sriwijaya (Unsri) and Office of Control of Climate Change and Forest and Land Fires for Sumatra Area (Balai PPI Karhutla Wilayah Sumatra) officially signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). The MoA was signed by the Vice Rector of Planning and Cooperation, Universitas Sriwijaya, and the Secretary of General Directorate of Climate Change Control, Ministry of Environment and Forestry of Republic of Indonesia.
The signing ceremony was conducted on Tuesday, 28 December 2021, at the Office of Control of Climate Change and Forest and Land Fires for Sumatra Area, Sukarame, Palembang.
The purpose of the signing is to strengthen institution capacity between the two parties in the control of climate change and forest and land fires. Then, the scopes of the MoA are to collaborate in the field of education, research, community service development, internship and advocacy.
