Who is the student of the Agriculture Faculty? Did you know about the history of the faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sriwijaya? The history of the establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sriwijaya is based on the geographical background of South Sumatra as an agricultural area and its largest population is the farmer. The agricultural area in South Sumatra is very wide so it requires human resources who have the skills with knowledge and technology to make South Sumatra superior, especially in the field of agriculture. This had led to the establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture in Palembang which was expected to produce human resources who are capable of helping to overcome various problems in the agricultural sector in general such as animal husbandry, fisheries, plantations and forestry. On September 26, 1963, to coincide with the day of the Farmers Day, the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sriwijaya was officially inaugurated. Currently, the Faculty of Agriculture has 13 study programs consisting of Bachelor, Master and also Doctoral Degrees, there are: 1. Agronomy (Bachelor) 2. Soil Science (Bachelor) 3.
